Bethesda now owns the rights to the Fallout MMO, so maybe it will see the light of day finally

That’s right, after years of silly lawyermen dancing around courtrooms, performing ancient rituals known only to the darkest circles of society, a settlement has been reached and Bethesda now holds the rights to produce a Fallout MMO, if they so choose.

And why not make one?  After Bioware decided to try their hand, and pretty successfully I might add, it seems to me like Bethesda may be the next logical step for the new age of MMO.  What does Interplay get out of it?  Why a smooth $2 mil.  This may not sound like much, but I happen to think its a pretty good amount of money for pretty much doing nothing for the last several years.

It seems more likely that it will never get made, but I think more than a few of us are interested in what Bethesda could do with a multiplayer game, maybe Fallout is the right place to do it…

About Ryan Saul

Hailing from Portland, OR I work by day and blog by night. I like to consider myself a video game connoisseur, playing as many new things as I can get my hands on. Its hard to hold me down to one game for very long before I move on to the next big thing. Luckily, that works pretty well in terms of video game blogging.
